About FSCSM

Learn about FSCSM, our mission, and the volunteers who help create a welcoming skating community for skaters of all ages and skill levels.

The Figure Skating Club of Southern Maryland (FSCSM) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and achieved full membership as a club of U.S. Figure Skating (USFS) in June 2015. USFS is the official governing body for figure skating in the United States, recognized by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the International Skating Union (ISU). As the governing body, the U.S. Figure Skating mission is to provide programs to encourage participation and achievement in the sport of figure skating.

FSCSM’s mission is to encourage the sport of figure skating and promote its growth under the general policies and objectives of USFS. We operate figure skating programs for individuals of all ages and levels of interest, focusing on high-quality instruction and enjoyment of the sport.

FSCSM’s home rink is the Capital Clubhouse Recreation Center, 3033 Waldorf Market Place, Waldorf, MD 20603. We also operate programs in partnership with other rinks in Southern Maryland.
