Junior Board

The Junior Board gives young members the opportunity to develop leadership skills, support club activities, and help shape the future of FSCSM.

FSCSM’s Junior Board allows skaters to develop leadership skills, provide service to others, get involved with volunteering, and become effective, active club members. Positions include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Liaison.

The Junior Board will be involved in several events throughout the year, including, but not limited to:

  • Conducting monthly meetings 

  • Organizing and hosting club events, fundraisers, and holiday parties

  • Creating a mentor program between experienced and younger skaters 

  • Maintaining a club web page/social media for Junior Board information, activities, and calendar  

Requirements for Junior Board: Must be an FSCSM member between the ages of 8-17 (depending on the position), able to commit to a monthly meeting for the Junior Board and to additional meeting time for club events, as needed. Understanding the importance of setting a positive example for other skaters is also required.

The Junior Board serves from early September through the first week of June each year. The 2025–2026 Junior Board has completed its term, and elections for the 2026–2027 Junior Board will be held in August.
